Hello Residents of Foxfield Village,
I wanted to give you all an update as to how our spring plans are being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the stay-at-home order which is in place until April 23rd.
Regarding the playground, the city, county, and state have closed all parks for the time being, and our park is included. We would like people to avoid using it until the stay-at-home order is over to avoid possible spread of the virus on the plastic surfaces. As soon as we are clear to use the playground again, we will remove the signs and send out an announcement. In the meantime, the common area and the trails are unaffected by the order, as long as you try to maintain the specified six-foot separation distance.
Regarding the pool, because we are not scheduled to open until the weekend of May 16th, there is a good chance that it will be unaffected by the stay-at-home order. Because of this, we are proceeding with the necessary work needed to open the pool for the year, and as a bonus, we’re finally replacing the roofs on the pool houses. If the stay-at-home order is extended on or before April 23rd, we will re-evaluate the pool-opening date at that time and make any necessary announcements.
Regarding landscaping, nothing is currently affected, so Epic is proceeding as they normally would, and have already begun treatment and started mowing for the year.
Regarding social events, we are unfortunately unable to have the annual egg hunt event this year due to the stay-at-home order, but it will definitely return next year! The only other social event that is currently affected by the order is the pool-opening-party that we’ve held on pool-opening weekend. Because this event takes planning and advance registration, we’ve decided to hold off on having it this year. We may still have to postpone the pool opening, and it would be easier to not have to reschedule everything related to this event if that were to happen. Instead, we’ll be combining this event with the Neighborhood Night Out in the summer to make a bigger party. More details to come as we get through the pandemic.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me via email, or contact Shelley at Centennial if you have any questions.
Thanks!
